Q&A

Do I have to register to be part of the Gang of Goofs?

NO. The Gang of Goofs competition is free. You do have to register as an individual if you want to become part of the club and receive the "I took the plunge" t-shirt and be part of the program.

Do I have to register to swim?

NO. You can swim for free. You will not be part of the Tybee Polar Plunge and cannot become part of the swim up program.

Do I have to swim every year to graduate up the program?

NO. For each year you swim you will graduate up the swim ladder. The honor system will apply and we request that you take part in the early registration process so we can best plan for what amount of t-shirts to purchase and the proper sizes.

Where does all of the money go?

Everyone who works the event is a volunteer and all of the funds go towards our annual Nurses Scholarship awards given to nurse candidates at Armstrong Atlantic University.

Is my donation tax deductable?

YES. The local Voiture 567 is a 501 (c) (19) tax deductable veterans organization. See anyone at the event if you need a letter or donation certificate.
