Candidates and potential candidates.

We know on Tybee this includes everyone so here is the criteria and references to announce your candidacy. Once you have formally announced your candidace feel free to email your picture and your platform to the webmaster for inclusion on this site.

January 1, 2005 Earliest day to file and publish a notice of intention to be a write-in candidate in the Municipal General Election. O.C.G.A. 21-2-133 (a)

February 14, 2005 Last day for a person to register and be eligible to vote in the March 15, 2005 Special Election. O.C.G.A. 21-2-224 (a)

May 23, 2005 Last day for a person to register and be eligible to vote in the June 21, 2005 Special Election. O.C.G.A. 21-2-224 (a)

August 22, 2005 Last day for a person to register and be eligible to vote in the September 20, 2005 Special Election. O.C.G.A. 21-2-224 (a)

September 12, 2005
8:30 A.M. Earliest day for a candidate for municipal office to file a Notice of Candidacy to have his/her name placed on the Municipal General Election Ballot. O.C.G.A. 21-2-132

September 16, 2005
4:30 A.M. Last day for a candidate for municipal office to file a Notice of Candidacy to have his/her name placed on the Municipal General Election Ballot. O.C.G.A. 21-2-132

September 23, 2005 Last day to file and publish a notice of intention to be a write-in candidate in the Municipal General Election. O.C.G.A. 21-2-133.

September 28, 2005 Last day to file affidavit stating that notice of intention to be a write-in candidate for an office has been published in accordance with O.C.G.A. 21-2-133.

October 11, 2005 Last day a person may register and be eligible to vote in the Municipal General Election and Runoff. O.C.G.A. 21-2-224 (a)
