Warranty

FINISH WARRANTY – 25 YEARS

Savannah Wood Flooring warrants to the original purchaser, that its factory applied surface finish will not wear through or separate from the floor for a period of 25 years, from purchasing date, when used under normal residential traffic conditions.
ENGINEERED STRUCTURAL INTEGRITY
A LIFETIME WARRANTY
(Valid for Engineered Flooring only)
Savannah Wood Flooring warrants to the original purchaser, that its Engineered Factory Finished Hardwood Flooring will not delaminate (separation between plies) in normal environmental conditions, when used in residential applications, for a lifetime period.

MATERIAL WARRANTY
Savannah Wood Flooring warrants that the material is free from manufacturing defects which are improper milling or improper drying only. Natural wood characteristics including, but not limited to, mineral streaks, knots, grain variations and normal minor differences between color samples and color of installed floor are normal characteristics of the wood and it is not considered defect.

EXCLUSIONS AND LIMITATIONS
No warranty coverage is provided for flooring with visual or obvious defects of any kind, after the material is installed. Visual defects or obvious defects must be immediately reported to Savannah Wood Flooring distributor for replacement of the defective material.

These warranties do not cover damages or defects of any kind caused by accident, negligence or misuse of the product including, but not limited to, indentations, scratches, grit, sand, spike heels, fire, flooding, standing water, pets, furniture, appliances. Stains or defects caused by accidental liquid dropping, use of wax or oil soaps for cleaning is also not covered by these warranties.

These warranties do not cover damages or defects caused by excessive moisture including, but not limited to, flooding, excessive ground moisture, improper humidity inside the home, water leaks caused by accident, broken pipes or appliances, failure to evaluate the jobsite before installation.

Since wood is a natural product minor variations between the samples and the installed floor are not considered defects and it is not covered by these warranties.

It is responsibility of the homeowner and installer to evaluate if the jobsite conditions are environmentally acceptable for installation of Savannah Wood Flooring. Problems caused by failure to evaluate the jobsite and jobsite conditions are not covered by these warranties.

Wood is a natural product and will continue to expand and contract during the seasons, some minor separation between flooring boards might occur, it is considered normal and is not covered by these warranties.

Color change might happen from exposure to UV light, normal exposure to sunlight will cause changes in the shade or color of any flooring and is not considered defect. Savannah Wood Flooring recommend to occasionally remove area rugs as they block sunlight and may give the appearance of discoloration under the rug.

The obligation and liability of Savannah is to replace or repair the defective material in excess of 5% (industry standard) of the original purchased volume.

The coverage of these warranties are limited to the original purchaser only

Any Savannah Wood Flooring product designated as “cabin grade”, “second”, “#1 Common” or “as is” is not covered by any these warranties.

This writing is the complete and exclusive statement of Savannah Wood Flooring warranty, no distributor, agent, installer or dealer is authorized to change the terms or coverage of this warranty. Certain exclusions and limitations stated in this warranty are not effective or allowed in some states, so some exclusions and limitations my not apply to you. This warranty gives you specific legal rights. You may also have other rights which vary from state to state.

HOW TO CLAIM
If you need to file a claim you must contact Savannah Wood Flooring retailer or distributor where the original purchase was made.

A written notice of claim must be filed no later than 3 months after the occurrence of the problem. You will be requested to present the original sales invoice and identity of original purchaser to file the claim. An Savannah Wood Flooring representative will be designated to inspect the floor and remove samples for technical analysis.
